Abu Dhabi’s NMDC wins $610M Philippines contract to build eco-friendly waterfront city in Manila Bay.
Abu Dhabi’s NMDC Group has won a $610.1 million contract to develop the 265-hectare Harbor City Project in Manila Bay, Philippines, marking its first major project in the country.
The 30-month initiative, led by Pasay Harbor City Corporation (PHCC), involves dredging and reclaiming about 130 hectares for a new eco-friendly waterfront city, including sand supply, vertical drains, vibro compaction, and rock placement.
The project expands NMDC’s Southeast Asia presence, already active in Taiwan, Vietnam, and Malaysia, and supports its global diversification strategy.
PHCC, a subsidiary of UBI, is executing the project through a public-private partnership with Pasay City.
