The suspect, linked to a drug gang in Buenos Aires’ Zavaleta neighborhood, is accused of orchestrating the torture and murder of three young women—Morena Verdi, Brenda del Castillo, and Lara Gutierrez—on September 19, allegedly as punishment for stealing drugs.
Their bodies were found buried five days later in a Buenos Aires suburb.
Another suspect, Matias Ozorio, was also apprehended in Peru.
Argentine Security Minister Patricia Bullrich praised Peruvian law enforcement for their cooperation, bringing the total arrests in the case to nine.
The incident, which sparked national outrage and feminist protests, highlights the ongoing crisis of gender-based violence in Argentina.
