A 19-year-old learner driver was arrested after a high-speed chase across NSW suburbs, allegedly with a 10-month-old baby in the car, and denied bail.
A 19-year-old woman was arrested and charged with multiple driving offences, including speeding by over 45km/h, after leading police on a high-speed chase across several New South Wales suburbs on September 30, 2025.
The pursuit began on the M1 Motorway near Somersby and spanned Tuggerah, Doyalson, Lake Munmorah, Moone, Pinny Beach, and Swansea, involving a crash into another vehicle and evasion of road spikes.
The car was later found abandoned in Windale, where five people, including the alleged driver, were taken into custody.
Authorities allege a 10-month-old baby was in the vehicle.
The woman, a learner driver, was denied bail and is set to appear in court on October 1.
The other four individuals were released without charge.
No injuries were reported.
