TCL launches ECORA™, a sustainable plastic filler made from upcycled ceramic waste, reducing plastic use and landfill waste.
TCL has introduced TCL ECORA™, a sustainable material made from upcycled ceramic waste sourced from Jingdezhen, China, and developed as part of its TCLGreen initiative.
The material, created with help from Chris Lefteri Design, transforms ceramic factory waste into a durable, stone-like plastic filler that enhances strength and texture.
It marks a first in consumer electronics, reducing plastic use and diverting waste from landfills.
TCL plans to launch products using ECORA within the next year and will showcase it at events in Milan and Las Vegas in late 2025 and early 2026.
The innovation supports TCL’s broader sustainability goals, including significant carbon emission reductions and over $136 million invested in environmental protection.
