This surge outpaced former Dallas Congressman Colin Allred, who reported raising funds from over 100,000 donors averaging $32 each and had just $55,000 on hand. On the Republican side, incumbent Sen. John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton had not yet released third-quarter totals, though Paxton raised $2.9 million and Cornyn $2.7 million in the prior quarter.
