The 2025 South Dakota State Fair in Huron attracted 180,916 visitors, generating $3.2 million in economic impact and featuring record participation in its Largest Classroom with 1,100 students and teachers from 45 schools.
Nearly 1,500 exhibitors submitted over 8,000 entries, while more than 9,800 4-H and FFA members showcased their projects.
The fair included live music, carnival rides, food contests, fireworks, and the America250 kickoff with a student-led Declaration of Independence signing and a commemorative beer release.
The new SHED facility opened for sheep exhibitions and agricultural education, and an F-16 flyover highlighted the event’s celebration of South Dakota’s agricultural heritage.
