Lynchburg and Salem police arrested suspects in separate burglaries, with one man taken into custody and three others arrested in Salem; investigations continue.
Lynchburg police have arrested one man and are seeking others in connection with two burglaries early Tuesday morning, following a high-speed chase and crash involving a dark, newer-model Kia sedan.
Officers responded to reports of break-ins on Misty Mountain Road and Wards Road, observing suspects fleeing in the vehicle, which crashed into a light pole.
One suspect was taken into custody; the others remain at large.
The vehicle has been seized, and investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
Authorities in Salem, Virginia, also arrested three individuals—Keya N. Kincaid, Jacob M. Palmer, and Michael L. Twiggs Jr.—in relation to a business burglary and vehicle thefts, recovering stolen firearms and personal items.
All three face multiple charges, including breaking and entering, conspiracy, and wearing masks to conceal identity.
No injuries were reported.
The investigations in both cities remain ongoing.
