Kenneth Robson sentenced to 25 years to life for 2024 hammer murder of wife, after prior murder conviction.
Kenneth Robson, 68, of Springfield, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison on September 22, 2025, for the 2024 murder of his wife, Quitiza Holmes, who died from head injuries after a hammer attack.
Robson, who had a prior 1984 conviction for killing his first wife, called 911 claiming he accidentally struck Holmes with a hammer.
She died over two weeks later.
Prosecutors said he cited unverified drug use as a factor.
The Hampden District Attorney’s Office confirmed Robson’s history, noting the impact on the family of his first victim.
He will serve his sentence at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center.
