Indian adventurer Mann Sharma will attempt the world’s first burpee marathon, covering 42.195 kilometers via burpee broad jumps at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi from October 6 to 15, 2025.
Recognized by World Book of Records and supported by the Sports Authority of India and Fit India, the challenge requires 106 laps over eight days, stretching the current burpee record—5.1 km—nearly eightfold.
The effort aims to raise funds and awareness for The One Friend NGO, which supports underprivileged children’s education.
Sharma, a former footballer who turned to endurance feats after injury, has previously completed extreme challenges for social causes, raising over $100,000.
Indian Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya praised the initiative as a powerful example of sport driving social change.
The attempt is considered one of the most ambitious endurance challenges ever submitted.
