IBM and AMD have launched a multi-year partnership to provide Zyphra, a San Francisco-based AI startup, with a large-scale AI training cluster on IBM Cloud powered by AMD’s Instinct MI300X GPUs, Pensando network accelerators, and Ortano DPUs.
Deployed in September 2025 and set to expand in 2026, the infrastructure supports Zyphra’s development of Maia, a multimodal superagent designed to process language, images, and audio for enterprise productivity.
