DeWayne Allen McGill, 40, of Georgia, was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison and five years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, assaulting federal officers, and unlawfully possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
The charges stem from March and April 2023, when he sold meth in Calhoun and was later arrested with over 300 grams of meth and a loaded handgun in his vehicle.
During the arrest, McGill bit a DEA agent and a local detective.
Authorities found additional meth and the firearm at his apartment.
