A 34-year-old Dublin man, Karl Donnelly, was charged with firearms offences after a Glock semi-automatic handgun and 25 rounds of ammunition were found at his home in Newmarket Yards.
Appearing at Dublin District Court, he was granted bail set at €500—€100 in cash and a €300 surety—under strict conditions including a curfew, daily sign-ins at a Garda station, address change approval, and phone availability.
Donnelly, who has no prior criminal record, is on social welfare and has reported mental health concerns.
He made no statement during the hearing and has not entered a plea.
The case is pending further instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions, with a next court date scheduled for next week.
