Colorado offers free college application fees Oct. 7–9 for 32 schools to boost access and FAFSA completion.
From October 7 to 9, Colorado is offering free college application fees for 32 public institutions and select private schools during its eighth annual Free Application Days campaign.
The initiative, led by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, aims to increase access to higher education and boost FAFSA completion rates, which remain below 50% in the state.
Eligible applicants include first-time, transfer, returning students, and those seeking a second bachelor’s degree.
In 2024, over 65,000 students saved more than $2.8 million.
While some colleges waive fees year-round, others require specific codes or steps during the three-day window.
Students are encouraged to prepare applications in advance and complete the FAFSA or state financial aid application afterward.
