Carfix raises €1.25M to expand its auto tech platform across Europe.

Romanian digital auto platform Carfix has raised EUR1.25 million from Catalyst Romania to expand across Europe, enhancing its ecosystem for vehicle repairs, insurance, and fleet management. The funding will support tech upgrades and market growth, building on Carfix’s existing operations in Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Meanwhile, Romania’s e-commerce sector is projected to reach EUR12.8 billion in 2025, accounting for 3.5% of GDP and ranking third in Central and Eastern Europe. Despite strong growth, only 12% of Romanian SMEs sell online, and credit rating agencies have issued negative outlooks due to fiscal risks.
