Cambodia had 34 landmine and ERW incidents in early 2025, down from 2024, with 10 dead and 24 injured.
Cambodia saw a 12.8% drop in landmine and explosive remnants of war (ERW) casualties in the first nine months of 2025, with 34 incidents compared to 39 in 2024, according to the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority.
Ten people were killed, 21 injured, and three amputated, including 24 men, five boys, three women, and two girls.
Since 1979, such incidents have caused 19,844 deaths and 45,276 injuries.
The country, still burdened by an estimated 4 to 6 million landmines and unexploded ordnance from decades of conflict, aims to clear all hazards by 2030.
