The Buffalo Bills signed veteran punter Mitch Wishnowsky to their active roster on September 30, 2025, replacing Cameron Johnston, who was placed on injured reserve with a leg injury sustained in a Week 4 game against the Saints.
Johnston, who had been with the team just weeks, is expected to miss at least four games.
Wishnowsky, 33, a former San Francisco 49ers punter and native of Perth, Australia, previously played in nine games last season with a 45.2-yard average and 11 punts inside the 20-yard line.
He spent time on the Washington Commanders’ practice squad before being released and joins the Bills after they’ve already used three punters this season.
