Audi's new entry-level electric hatchback, the "baby e-tron," to debut in 2027, replacing the A1 and Q2.
A new entry-level electric hatchback, informally called the "baby e-tron," has been spotted testing in Europe, featuring design cues from the Audi Q4 e-tron and the retired A2 model.
Expected to launch in 2027, it will replace the A1 and Q2, which are being discontinued in 2026, and may revive the A2 name.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, it will be smaller than the Q4 e-tron and Q3, with a rear-wheel-drive base option, a single motor, and a WLTP range around 395km.
It will feature Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive and premium tech, with production set to begin in Ingolstadt in 2026.
Availability in Australia remains unconfirmed.
