Apple sued for firing employee after denying religious Sabbath accommodation request.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has sued Apple, alleging the company fired a 16-year employee at its Reston, Virginia store after he requested religious accommodations to observe the Jewish Sabbath.
The EEOC claims Apple denied the request, subjected the employee to disciplinary actions, and terminated him, violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
The lawsuit also alleges a hostile work environment, including antisemitic remarks, and retaliation for raising concerns.
The case was filed in federal court and seeks damages for the employee.
Apple has not commented.
