A Texas man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and robbing a driver who hit his dog, forcing him to dig a grave and pay $200.
A 22-year-old Texas man, Alberto Joshua Hernandez, has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping after allegedly confronting a driver who hit and killed his dog on September 8.
According to an arrest affidavit, Hernandez, armed with a gun and later an AR-style rifle, forced the victim to carry the dog’s body, dig a grave, surrender personal belongings, and withdraw $200 at gunpoint.
He also took a photo of the victim’s license and threatened to find him if not fully compensated.
Surveillance footage and a photo lineup confirmed his identity.
Hernandez faces a $300,000 bond for the robbery and kidnapping charges, plus an additional $360,000 in bond for eight drug-related charges.
