Oklahoma students compete to name 24 snowplows in a state-wide contest with voting open through October 3.
Oklahoma students are vying to name 24 snowplows in a public voting contest running from September 29 to October 3, with finalists selected from each of ODOT’s eight field districts. Winning names will be displayed on plows and tracked via a new online system launching October 27. The contest, aimed at engaging families in winter road safety, features student submissions from across the state, with winners receiving prize packs and recognition. ODOT maintains 30,445 highway lane miles using nearly 600 plows, which cleared over 462,000 miles during February 2025 storms. Voting is open at OkTraffic.org.
