NLM Photonics has confirmed breakthrough performance in silicon-organic hybrid photonic integrated circuits through third-party testing, achieving a record 0.31 V-mm modulation efficiency and bandwidths up to 110 GHz.
An 8-channel 1.6T PIC transmitted data at 224 Gbps per channel with low driver voltage and minimal variation, using a compact 17 mm² design.
The technology, developed with industry partners and tested by Keysight and VLC Photonics, offers a scalable, energy-efficient solution for 400G and higher speeds in data centers.
