A New Zealand artist Eion Stevens, who died in 2021, is supporting Artsenta, a Dunedin nonprofit aiding mental health and addiction recovery, through an auction of 25 of his artworks.
The sale, managed by Haywards Auction House, runs online from October 9 to 23 and includes a physical exhibition at Artsenta from October 10 to 23.
Proceeds will benefit the organization as it prepares for its 40th anniversary in 2026.
Stevens’ friends, appointed in his will, chose Artsenta, reflecting his personal struggles with mental health and long-standing support for artists.
Over 100 works remain in storage, indicating potential future auctions.
