Months before his death, Charlie Kirk urged Netanyahu to boost Israel’s Gen-Z outreach, citing declining U.S. youth support.
Months before his assassination, Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to overhaul Israel’s social media strategy to win over Gen-Z Americans, citing a Harvard Harris poll showing 48% of U.S. 18-24-year-olds favored Hamas.
In a May 2 letter obtained by the New York Post, Kirk recommended creating a real-time response team, launching an “Israel Truth Network,” sending released October 7 hostages on speaking tours, and conducting man-on-the-street interviews to showcase Israel’s democracy and pluralism.
He emphasized the need for young, third-party voices to counter misinformation and strengthen support among younger Americans.
Netanyahu referenced the letter publicly on September 18, eight days after Kirk’s death, ahead of a meeting with Donald Trump to discuss ending the Gaza war.
