DeepOcean has won a 2026 offshore contract from Equinor to perform complex SIMOPRO operations at the Åsgard and Visund fields on the Norwegian continental shelf using the Edda Freya vessel. Work includes removing and installing risers, deploying dynamic and static umbilicals, and adding protection covers at Åsgard in the Norwegian Sea and replacing a riser at Visund in the North Sea. The projects require extensive onshore planning, engineering, and safety coordination, with DeepOcean citing prior successful deliveries as a key factor.
