Sophie Hahn, the 28-year-old British para sprinter and two-time Paralympic champion, finished fifth in the T38 100m final at the World Championships in New Delhi, missing a medal by 0.16 seconds despite a strong 12.82-second heat time.
She clocked 12.88 seconds in the final, with Colombia’s Angie Nicoll Mejia Morales winning gold, Karen Palomeque taking silver, and Greece’s Lida-Maria Manthopoulou claiming bronze.
Hahn, who changed coaches after a sixth-place finish at the Paris Paralympics, said she struggled to find her final speed despite focusing on race technique.
She remains hopeful for the 200m event, where she previously won world titles in 2017 and 2019.
Representing Team GB, supported by sponsor Novuna, she called competing at the global level a significant achievement.
