Lawrence River Board will temporarily lower water levels on Lake St. Lawrence by 20 to 30 centimetres on October 17–18, 2025, to help boaters prepare for the season’s end.
The change, within the board’s deviation authority, will not significantly impact Lake Ontario, where levels will remain stable and above 73 metres.
The adjustment aims to improve access on Lake St. Louis for vessel haul-outs.
Officials will continue monitoring drought conditions and future water levels, with boaters urged to stay updated on weather and water changes, especially near dams.
