Air India and Airbus open a joint pilot training center in India with 10 simulators to train 5,000 pilots by 2035.
Air India and Airbus have launched a 50:50 joint venture pilot training centre in Gurugram, India, featuring 10 full-flight simulators and certification from India’s DGCA and Europe’s EASA.
The 12,000-square-meter facility, inaugurated by India’s Civil Aviation Minister, aims to train over 5,000 pilots in the next decade to support Air India’s fleet expansion, including 570 new aircraft orders.
It will offer training for Airbus A320 and A350 aircraft and is part of broader efforts to build global-standard aviation talent.
Additional training initiatives are planned in Amravati and Bengaluru, with operations set to begin by FY27.
