TotalEnergies buys 49% of Oklahoma gas assets to boost U.S. LNG output, supporting low-emission goals.
TotalEnergies has agreed to buy a 49% stake in natural gas assets in Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin from Continental Resources, expanding its U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations.
The non-operated acquisition, connected to the Henry Hub via existing infrastructure, is expected to deliver about 150 million cubic feet per day of net gas production by 2030, supporting TotalEnergies’ goal of increasing low-cost, low-emission gas supply.
The deal follows previous U.S. asset purchases and reinforces the company’s integrated LNG strategy, while also coinciding with a $950 million sale of its North American solar portfolio to KKR.
