Discovered alongside evidence of on-site metalworking, brooches, game pieces, and tools, the artifacts offer new insights into medieval craftsmanship, elite fashion, and cross-Channel cultural ties during the 13th and 14th centuries.
The collection, stored in 80 boxes at National Museums Scotland, is among the most significant medieval metalworking assemblages found in the UK.
