The 73rd San Sebastián International Film Festival concluded with the Ikusmira Berriak program unveiling five emerging film projects from the Iberian Peninsula and Southern Mediterranean, including a Basque drama, a Spanish psychological thriller, a Portuguese family story, an Italian 1960s coming-of-age tale, and a French-Colombian adventure, all seeking co-production and distribution support.
Spanish director José Luis Guerín won the Special Jury Prize for his non-fiction film *Good Valley Stories*, a three-year observational documentary shot in black-and-white Super 8 in Barcelona’s Vallbona district, highlighting everyday life with intimacy and empathy.
The film, a Spanish-French co-production, is set for a Spanish theatrical release on February 6, 2026.
