A Michigan man faces charges after allegedly attacking a victim with scissors, leading to injuries and a bloodied sweater found at the scene.
Roderick James Jager, 25, of Detroit Lakes, faces felony and misdemeanor charges in Becker County District Court after an August 30 incident where police found him intoxicated and a victim hiding in a locked bedroom.
Jager admitted to an argument and said he threw a sweater at the victim, but officers discovered a bloodied sweater and a 4-inch scissors stained with blood.
The victim reported feeling a sharp object stab his back, later suspecting scissors, and medical exams revealed slash marks consistent with a scissors attack, along with bite marks.
On September 3, Jager was released without bail under strict conditions including no alcohol or drugs, no firearms, and pretrial supervision.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 3 before Judge Gretchen D. Thilmony.
