India plans to auction coal blocks for gasification projects to convert 100 million tonnes of coal into syngas within five years, using its commercial coal mining framework.
The move, announced by Coal Additional Secretary Rupinder Brar, aims to boost cleaner production of fertilizers, methanol, and synthetic natural gas.
