Adani Properties has proposed acquiring 88 high-value assets from the Sahara Group, including Aamby Valley City and Sahara Star hotel, in a deal seeking Supreme Court approval by October 14, 2025.
The sale, part of Sahara’s effort to repay Rs 24,000 crore to investors defrauded in a SEBI scam, aims to consolidate sales and maximize returns.
Proceeds would go to the SEBI-Sahara Refund Account.
Sahara has already recovered about Rs 16,000 crore through asset liquidation.
The transaction follows challenges including weakened market conditions, ongoing litigation, and the 2023 death of founder Subrata Roy, which disrupted decision-making.
The Supreme Court’s approval is required under existing court orders governing asset disposals.
