A 73-year-old woman died in a head-on crash in Oklahoma; a 17-year-old motorcyclist and 78-year-old driver also died in a separate head-on collision early Sunday.

A 73-year-old woman, Phyllis Hensley, died in a head-on crash on State Highway 29 in Garvin County, Oklahoma, late Saturday night, September 27, 2025, around 8:42 p.m., about 2.5 miles east of Elmore City. She was traveling westbound when her vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and collided with another car driven by an 83-year-old man, who sustained injuries but was not in critical condition. Both occupants were wearing seat belts. Authorities have not released further details about the cause of the crash, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to investigate. In a separate incident early Sunday morning on U.S. 177 in Payne County, a 17-year-old motorcyclist and a 78-year-old female driver were killed in a head-on collision after the teen, traveling at high speed without headlights, struck a curb and swerved into oncoming traffic. The crash occurred just before 12:20 a.m. and remains under investigation.
