Punjab's flood response includes health camps, ASHA outreach, and vector control across 1,000+ villages, amid political criticism over dam management and relief.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reported on September 28, 2025, that health camps in 1,072 villages treated over 1,300 fever cases, 314 diarrhoea cases, 1,581 skin infections, and 739 eye infections through 12,612 outpatient departments.
The ASHA campaign reached 903 villages and 30,925 households, distributing 6,519 health kits and recording 735 fever cases.
Vector control efforts inspected 35,101 homes across 1,179 villages, found breeding in 328, applied larvicide in 8,269, and fumigated 649 villages.
These measures are part of a broader response to recent floods, addressed in a special Punjab Assembly session from September 26 to 29.
Opposition leader Partap Singh Bajwa criticized the government, calling the floods a man-made disaster due to poor dam management, questioned central relief funds, and condemned the absence of Question Hour and Zero Hour during the session.
