The appointment follows concerns over governance and accountability, including the recent expulsion of 57 students for exam misconduct during the university’s 427th Senate meeting on September 10, 2025. Eight students were rusticated, one case was deferred for further review, and two were cleared. The Senate’s action, based on the General Examination and Academic Regulations, underscores the institution’s commitment to academic integrity.
