Maharashtra delays 2025 civil services exam to Nov. 9 due to floods affecting 30+ districts.
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission has postponed the 2025 civil services preliminary exam from September 28 to November 9 due to severe flooding and heavy rainfall affecting over 30 districts, particularly in Marathwada.
The move, prompted by widespread transportation disruptions and requests from officials and students, ensures fairness for candidates unable to reach exam centers.
The exam, aiming to fill 385 state government positions, will now be held at 37 district centers with about 300,000 candidates expected to participate.
A separate state-level exam for medical and dental college posts has also been delayed.
Revised dates for the latter will be announced soon.
