A 32-year-old former Ontario hockey player, Giovanni Michael Robinson, was fatally shot in a suspected drive-by shooting in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Found with a fatal gunshot wound, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the attack involved a dark-colored SUV, but the motive is unknown and no suspects have been arrested.
Robinson, from Stouffville, Ontario, played junior hockey with the Stouffville Spirit and Niagara IceDogs, followed by five seasons at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and one year professionally in Europe.
He most recently lived in Pennsylvania.
The Ontario Hockey League called his death a "tragic loss" and extended condolences.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward, describing the incident as a "senseless act."
