Two Niagara software engineers, Vince Strazzella and Thomas Boccinfuso, have launched HireNiagara.ca, a free, local job board connecting job seekers with employers in the Niagara region.
Designed to combat challenges in the job market, the platform focuses exclusively on Niagara, offering employers free job postings with optional paid features like featured listings and “urgently hiring” tags, part of whose revenue supports local charities fighting homelessness.

Inspired by local needs and supported by post-secondary institutions, the project aims to strengthen regional employment and could serve as a model for similar community-driven job boards in areas like Hamilton or the GTA if successful.
