Bus drivers for Greater Manchester’s Bee Network will strike from September 30 to October 1, disrupting around two-thirds of services, including routes in Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, and Trafford, with no impact on Bolton or Wigan.
The walkout, involving over 2,000 Unite union members, stems from ongoing pay disputes with operators Stagecoach, Metroline Manchester, and First Bus Rochdale.
Passengers are urged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and expect crowded alternative services.
The Metrolink will run normally, and some train services may accept Bee Network tickets.
TfGM encourages continued negotiations to prevent further disruptions.
