Norwegian Group has ordered 30 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, its first direct Boeing order since 2017, increasing its 737 MAX commitments to 80 planes.
The deal supports fleet modernization, sustainability goals, and growth across Europe, with the 737-8 offering a 20% reduction in fuel use and emissions compared to older models.
Deliveries are now scheduled through 2031, extending beyond the original 2025–2028 window, and align with lease expiries and market conditions.
The airline, which has operated Boeing jets since 2007 and was the first European carrier to receive the 737 MAX, said the agreement offers favorable terms and enhances operational flexibility.
