A series of minor earthquakes struck Alaska on September 25, 2025, with magnitudes ranging from 3.2 to 3.5.
One quake, measuring 3.2, hit 81 km northeast of Yakutat at a shallow depth, while two others, measuring 3.4 and 3.5, occurred near Salcha, west-northwest of Fairbanks.
All were felt locally, with maximum intensities up to 4.3 on the Modified Mercalli scale, but caused no significant damage or injuries.
The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the events, which were detected by multiple seismic stations, with no tsunami threat and green alert levels.
These quakes are consistent with ongoing low-magnitude seismic activity in the region.
