Israel runs New York ad campaign recalling Oct. 7 Hamas attack ahead of Netanyahu’s UN speech.
Israel has launched a public diplomacy campaign in New York featuring billboards and mobile trucks with the message "Remember October 7" near the UN and Times Square, ahead of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s UN speech.
The effort, led by the Prime Minister’s Office, highlights the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023, which killed around 1,200 Israelis and led to the abduction of 48 hostages held in Gaza.
Each display includes a QR code linking to a website with documentation of the attacks.
The campaign aims to shape international perception before Netanyahu’s address, which follows a video speech by Palestinian President Abbas condemning Israel’s actions in Gaza as war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Abbas, barred from entering the U.S., rejected Hamas’s future role in governance and called for armed groups to disarm and transfer weapons to the Palestinian National Authority.
