GAIL (India) Limited has approved a major expansion of the Jamnagar-Loni LPG pipeline, doubling its capacity to 6.5 million metric tonnes per year and extending across five states—Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.
The 1,107 km project, valued at around Rs 5,350 crore, aims to enhance energy infrastructure, improve LPG supply efficiency, and support growing demand in northern and western India.
The expansion includes a new 114 km natural gas spur line to Madhya Pradesh and a 20-tonne-per-day Compressed Biogas plant in Uttar Pradesh that converts agricultural waste into clean fuel and organic fertilizer.
