Dublin extends its greenway 2.1 km, linking the Liffey to the northside with new paths, a bridge, and improved safety.
Dublin City Council has opened phase three of the Royal Canal Greenway, adding a 2.1-kilometre walking and cycling route from North Strand to Phibsborough, creating a continuous 3.2-kilometre path from the River Liffey to Dublin’s northside.
The project includes a new bridge, improved lighting and CCTV, a community plaza, and upgraded infrastructure.
Part of the city’s Active Travel Network, the greenway aims to connect the Liffey to the Shannon when complete.
