The Austin Motor Company, a historic British automaker, is reviving with the Austin Arrow 2, a retro-inspired electric roadster based on the 1922 Austin Seven.
The lightweight two-seater, weighing 605kg, features a 15kW electric motor and 20kWh battery, offering a 160km range, 0-100km/h time of 7.8 seconds, and a top speed of 100km/h.
Led by British engineer John Stubbs and CEO Nigel Gordon-Stewart, a veteran of TVR, Lamborghini, Lotus, and McLaren, the car is built to order in India in both left- and right-hand-drive versions.
Priced from £31,000 (~A$63,200), it blends classic design with modern electric technology, reflecting Austin’s legacy and its founder’s early ties to Melbourne, Australia.
