A 32-year-old man has been sentenced to one year in prison and banned from all Boots stores in the UK for 10 years after stealing over £100,000 in goods from multiple locations, including razors and electrical items, according to Metropolitan Police.
The thefts, which occurred between May and August 2025 in Kensington and Chelsea, were captured on CCTV and led to a targeted investigation.
He was also given a five-year ban from the borough as part of a criminal behaviour order.
Authorities emphasized the financial and emotional toll of organized retail crime on businesses and communities, highlighting the role of surveillance and police collaboration in securing the conviction.
The case is part of broader efforts to reduce retail theft, supported by the Home Office’s Safer Summer Streets initiative.
