Two men pleaded guilty to anti-Semitic attacks in Sydney, including arson and vandalism, linked to Iran and Hezbollah.
In November 2024, two young men, 21-year-old Mohommed Farhat and 20-year-old Thomas Stojanovski, pleaded guilty to a series of anti-Semitic attacks in Sydney’s Woollahra suburb, targeting cars, buildings, a fire station, and a restaurant.
Over 41 minutes, they vandalized ten vehicles, burned two, and spray-painted anti-Semitic slogans, including “F*** Israel” and “PKK coming.” CCTV showed Farhat buying fuel and supplies, with Stojanovski assisting.
They fled using Uber, later returning via Stojanovski’s account.
The attacks were part of a broader surge in anti-Semitic incidents in Sydney, including a synagogue arson attempt and a home attack.
Australia’s ASIO linked at least two similar attacks to Iran.
Farhat, possibly linked to Hezbollah, faces a mandatory prison sentence on November 13.
Stojanovski, on bail, will be sentenced on November 21 and was described as immature, not ideologically driven.
