Tulsa hosts free trash events Oct–Nov at three parks to reduce illegal dumping of bulky waste.
The City of Tulsa is hosting free Trash Bash events in October and November at three parks to help residents dispose of bulky waste and reduce illegal dumping.
Events will take place on October 4 at Reed Park, October 18 at Chamberlain Park, and November 15 at Hicks Park, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with large dumpsters provided.
The initiative aims to offer a convenient alternative to dumping items like mattresses, tires, and appliances on city streets.
City officials and community advocates support the effort, noting cleanliness helps prevent pests and safety hazards.
However, certain items such as appliances, tires, hazardous materials, batteries, paints, building materials, yard waste, and commercial waste are not accepted.
Supervision is encouraged to ensure proper participation.
