Taco JED, a beloved Rochester, Minnesota restaurant known for its street tacos and live music, will close on October 18, 2025, after seven years in business.
Owner Steve Dunn cited the need to care for his aging parents in Bemidji as the primary reason.
The restaurant, which opened in 2018 at 808 Broadway Ave. S., became a community hub with its patio, JED’s Shed bar, and support for local artists.
A final celebration is planned for October 19.
While the physical location is closing, Dunn intends to keep the Taco JED brand alive through a food truck for events and private functions.
The closure reflects broader challenges in the restaurant industry, including rising costs and staffing issues.
